The rule where the clubs can`t spend more money than they make, so it really doesn`t matter how much money Roman or any other rich owner has got, if they club make 10 pounds, that`s what you can spend. Great. Smaller clubs with a chance to win. I`ve always looked forward to the premiership season, to get away from the somewhat amateur norwegian league. This year I`ve kept following the norwegian league. I can`t name the top three teams at the table this season. It has gotten so boring, cus you know who`ll win in the end anyway. Money plays too big a role in deciding the title, and that is something I don`t like. It\s much more fun if Grimsby get promoted though. Pink
that rule is to do with wages, and it is supposedly something like the wage bill can be no more than 50% of the annual income. it won't make any difference to how much cash the clubs already have in the bank, nor the way they buy players with it, just the wages they can subsequently offer them. unless theyve changed it again, which is always possible with UEFA. --
Ed chelsea bought there success, but bought it more than any other team. I feel bored of chelsea winning already due to moanrinho's sheer arrogance that he is the best in the world and that what he says goes. Rather than this wage structure or spending as much as you earn why cant they just implement rules like in german football where you have to include so many home grown players and so many home grown players of a certain age and only a certain amount of imports. Because in all honestly it is getting boring. First it was manure now its chelsea and it'll be another team after them.

Gary, I can agreed limits should be added, but I don't accept the argument
that now is boring
It was boring when only Kops could win it, when only Devils could win it,
when Gunners ...
remember that for a long period only cash splash Rovers broke the line
So the problem is old, not just 'Chelsky' as you say

Mourinho is a sum of what you are used to have
Wengers moaning
Fergusons arrogance
Bobby geniously

I thought the ruling ony applied to wages? Surely a club would FIFA/UEFA to court if told it couldn't spend all it's millions in the bank on new players, if they wanted too.

I think saved money in the bank is allowed to be spent on whatever they
want....but I`m not sure how this will work. Anyway, it would be great if
more teams could compete on equal terms.

Manchester, Real Madrid and AC Milan will love the rule that will eternize (spl) their dominance the big marketing teams will rule alone no more Portsmouth to come... think before diggest

But those clubs will have much money because the supporters...and noe some
investment agency or rich bastards decides "This club will be the richest
club and buy all the best players". As a liverpool supporter I would rather
see man utd being no 1 because they are a well supported club all over the
world and they earn their money as a football club...

They did change it cus they found out that wages can be payed by outside
investors.... I guess there will
be a million other changes as well....

You`re missing the point. It was competition for the title. Liverpool didn\t
win it every year, they didn`t have more money than the other clubs. The
other clubs were competing on equal terms. The only difference was that
liverpool was an attractive club to play for therefor they got better
players.

These days only 2-3 clubs have the finances the win the league. Money
shouldn`t be what decides wether a club can win the trophy or not, but
unfortunately people think so. Not every league should be corrupt just
because some are...

so your problem is with rows? ;-) if they agree to win it each two years in the next 20 t is ok for you? oh dear...
You`re missing the point. It was competition for the title. Liverpool didn\t win it every year, they didn`t have more money than the other clubs. The other clubs were competing on equal terms. The only difference was that liverpool was an attractive club to play for therefor they got better players. These days only 2-3 clubs have the finances the win the league. Money shouldn`t be what decides wether a club can win the trophy or not, but unfortunately people think so. Not every league should be corrupt just because some are...

me missing the point?
"Money shouldn`t be what decides wether a club can win the trophy or not?"

you just said that a club should run only with fans money
but the power aquired by giants would be controled how?
if you're Football God only 10 clubs would dominate football

Well Chelsea's only won it twice in a row. I've got a gut feeling telling
me, they won't back it this year.

I`ve always seen Newcastle as a big club (it is probably the biggest supported club in England)??? Can someone PLEASE explain to me what is going on?

All North-East clubs build the fans up to let them down. It's probably
something in the water.
