Oh yes, in fact me and some friends played it LAN many many moons ago. It's good fun but increasingly frustrating the further into the game you go due to the absense of a quick save. Multi is great fun and the sound of the tactical nuke flying in your general direction is a sound I'm unlikely to forget.

I've been playing a little against my kids - and they against each other -
you should see my boy playing, he's pretty frightening, although he has an
under-developed sense of self-preservation - "DEATH FIRST!!!"
IIRC correctly, it was supposed to be possible to use two joysticks to play
the game - one for each tread... now wouldn't that be - erm - fun?
