Hello? MSG2 was on the XBox. Didn't like it as much as the others I mentioned. Thank you, and good night.

I played MGS2 on the Xbox and liked it a lot at first. Then the game switched from Snake to Raiden (blech!), threw in a lot of melodrama (double blech!), and annoyed me with rooms of endlessly respawning enemies (persistence, anyone?). As much as I admired the game from an artistic viewpoint, I couldn't bring myself to finish it. I played through all three SC games, and came to the conclusion that Sam Fisher would whup Solid Snake's ass, with or without all his high-tech gear. It would, at least, be a great fight.

MGS2 was really no more than a well-realized gameplay tech demo. The
story was incoherent, the cut scense were pointless, and the
environments were incredibly repetitive. MGS3 is SO much better on all
accounts, that it's not even funny. If MGS3 had been released in 2001
as MGS2 instead of the game we got, I doubt there would be so many
Metal Gear haters.
As far as which character is tougher, damned if I care. MGS3 lets me
shoot down a Russian helicopter with a rocket launcher, therefore it
has the "Rush 'N Attack" effect- 'nuff said.
