Why no? If I did, I would brig up that Denmark won the European Championship in 1992.

Which they didn't even qualify for ;-)

They are undoubtedly one of the best teams in the world at the moment, and we beat them! Have a good one mucker! :-)

Exactly. If it hadn't been for us they would have watched it on TV. ;-)

Not really. I leave that to the scots.

No, we were there to collect as many points as possible. And considering Denmark are supposed to be a much better side than us, one point was one more than I expected to get.
True that the N.I. tactic worked, but it was like watching Greece (nooffence Nick). No intention of playing football.

Well, fortunately or unfortunately football is all about tactics
nowadays. Skill doesn't matter much. If you can't beat a defensive
tactic it's actually your problem... It's all part of the game and we
all know that winning is more important that playing nice football.

True.

I got frustrated that Denmark couldnt win a match against a defensive
team. Sure I'm frustrated that N.I. didnt want to play football, but
thats modern days tactics for ya.

And yet win, lose or draw, the Scots never bitch like a little girl.

And as the reigning European Champions, I'll take that as a compliment.
Quote:
Denmark should have won it by far. Unfortunately they did their worst.

Possession does not always equate into a sure-fire victory. Your shots
on target weren't exactly numerous.

No need for that kind of language.

Of course there is. If you're going to behave like a dick, expect me
to call you on it.

N.I. played a defensive game....

Correct.
Quote:
.....meaning they stood in the box most of the time and relied on counterand set pieces.

Utter bollocks. Unlike Denmark we played two up front for the entire
match, and although Denmark had a lot of possession it wasn't quite
like the siege you're trying to portray.
Quote:
They hardly had a single chance produced from the back 4.

Which has what to do with anything?
Quote:
Not my fault you read it wrong. I complained about Denmark not being able to beat a defensive N.I. team.

I didn't read it wrong. You moaned that you drew 0-0 with 'a Northern
Irish team with no intention of playing football'. Well, we turned up
and played a defensive game of football which earned us a point. What
you should have wrote was 'a Northern Irish team with no intention of
playing my definition of football'.
Quote:
If Denmark had played 4-4-2 with Tomasson and Bendtner on top, we might have had a better chance. Tomasson cannot produce anything on his own against a defensive team.

Maybe, maybe not.
Quote:
Why no? If I did, I would brig up that Denmark won the European Championship in 1992.

That's what I was alluding to.
Quote:
Of the 2 teams, Denmark played the most football. Too bad they couldnt produce what they should.

Again it's your definition of what football is. If you expect everyone
to just come out and charge at each others goal, then I suggest you
stop watching altogether.
Quote:
Next time you see someone moan about ones team, try not to take it personal.

Next time you want to have a bitch about your own teams performance,
don't bring the other team into it. And at a time when Danish players,
staff and supporters are commending the Northern Irish performance you
stand alone as the dick who can't see it for what it was.

Having said all that, there were a couple of funny incidents in the
match I'd like to comment on:

1) The Austrian referee booked Maik Taylor for time wasting after 20
minutes. Hitler would have been proud.
2) The Danish team appear to be sponsored by DONG, and given your
remarks in here Mickael I can see you having that label for a long
time.
3) The Danish No. 8 has a promising career in freestyle diving, once he
switches careers and gets rid of that pesky ball thing.
