Once upon a time there was a man named unklbob who liked to play online games like Diablo2 LOD on his home computer. unklbob was not the sharpest blade in the drawer, so when unklbob's wife suggested that the computer armoire would look nicer in a room far, far away from the internet modem he shrugged stupidly and said "Sure, Honey." So unklbob's wife went out and bought a set of "moving men" which are plastic sliders that fit under the behemoth that was the computer armoire, and she and unklbob pushed and shoved the armoire far, far away into a room where it did indeed look much nicer. "Don't worry," said unklbob's wife, "I bought you Lynksys wireless router so you can still get online to play your games." You see, unklbob's wife had found this device on ebay, so you know it must have been a good one. unklbob's wife wasn't particularly worried about *her* internet connection, since she had a cool laptop and could plug it right into the router without affecting the ambience of the room. But when unklbob tried going onto his Diablo games, he noticed a funny thing: his ping rates had suddenly quadrupled! Poof, went unklbob's HC chars and somewhere their deeds are honored and recorded. Poof, went the exp of unklbob's SC chars--one second alive, the next dead, with nothing but a frozen screen in between! By the time unklbob had wrapped his cumbersome brain around the intricacies of wireless technology, the gray days of winter gave forth to the first buds of spring, around him gathered his spawn brandishing bats and mitts, and he spent the next three months playing catch and alternately running them to practice, games and the batting cage. The next time he logged on to Battle net, all of his characters had a curious red type below each one explaining to unklbob that while there was pictures of them on the accounts, they were no longer available to play! Now unklbob is back in the game, but save for the munificence of Regnitto, he is item poor, with scarcely a Ptopaz to outfit his sole char, who will also be his numero uno MFer once he comes of age. unklbob comes forth on bended knee and weeps unashamedly at the knees of the offerer of this ethereal magic finding piece of magnifigance. Gimme da damn Skulders! ; ) Sean
