Wot?! 24hr licensing didn't lead to all that mad, drunken binging and
violence the police and newspapers promised us? Tell me it aint so...
Enjoy London Civ. Hoping to have a few around Covent Garden later this
year myself.

Hmmmm... maybe you should come to Edinburgh to research opening a new site
then? ;o)
I say "Come to Edinburgh" - I'm 20 miles away at least...

Edinburgh Castle is - ok - I guess - I think Stirling castle is much
better - Edinburgh castle is mostly not that old. There are some fantastic
ruins out here in East Lothian though - Tantallon (what a great name,)
Hailes, Dirleton... (pronounced "Dirrul-ton" - took my English self a while
to get round that one as I just wanted to say "Duhlton" hehe...)
Having said all that - the vistas in Edinburgh are ridiculously
extravagant - walking down Princes Street, Marks & Sparks or Bugger King on
your right, a valley, cliffs and a Castle half-a-mile up in the air on your
left. Crazy, man.

Ahh, Princes Street Gardens, a hot summer's day, and the M&S wine department.
What a day that was...
An American tourist in Princes Street once asked a friend of mine where the
castle was.
"Er, over there"

Hahaha... they were expecting something with pointy turrets, perhaps?
Hey, heard a good one about Edinburgh and a 'murican tourist last night -
true story - there's some swanky house you can visit that looks North over
the Forth, and you get a great view of Fife from the top floor apparently.
Anyway, this guy looks out at Fife and, in all seriousness, asks...
"Is that France?"
Natcherly, no disrespect to my American cousins. Coz I don't have any... ;o)
p.s. I suppose I ought to go hunting for a "Brit abroad" anecdote to balance
things up eh?
