Let's see if we get one or even several rises.............:-) :-) After all this is a PC newsgroup, so the consoles and their adherents are all fair game.

You're the PC Blig Merk. And just like him, you're irrational to the point
of insanity.

1. Console systems are computers. Believe it, or not.
2. People own console systems AND computers. Believe it, or not.
3. I wonder what you'll do when Live Anywhere is launched along with MS
Vista.

Sad, sad, sad.

Grow some testicles and post this malarky in the Sony and Xbox NGs. See how
"warmly" you're welcomed. (rolling eyes)

In fact, I'll crosspost it FOR you:

And if he did, I hope that he also bought a 2-year extended
full-replacement warranty. Of course such a warranty would have to
include a guarantee that an exchange unit would be available within 1
month of the return of the faulty unit or he gets a full refund of the
PS3 purchase price. The likelihood of units to replace faulty ones
being available within the next 9 months is almost non-existent. And
expect the early-mortality to be pretty high --- if the Xbox360
history is anything to go by -- plus the non-existent reliability
history of Blu-ray.

Such are the joys of console ownership. In the light of upcoming PC
technologies, Dx10, full-fledged quad-core, physics implementations,
the Xbox360 and the PS3 are beginning to look very shabby indeed.
But they are cheap, aren't they.... aren't they... ? No doubt the
Xbox360 will have a design refresh mid-2007 with a fully-integrated
HD-DVD drive intended for both movies and gaming, plus cooler with
enhanced- graphics and upgraded CPU on 65nm. Time then to dump the
existing Xbox360 on Ebay. Within 5 years of launch, I would expect
both the Xbox360 and the PS3 to iterate 3 times... forced to follow
the now-rapidly accelerating advances in computer-technology
spearheaded by the PC --- thanks to vicious competition between Intel
and AMD on the CPU front and ATi/AMD and nVidia on the graphics front.

The thing that John ignores is that from the time new technology is
introduced on the PC side it's at least 3 to 5 years before it's
actively used and even more time before it's required for games. If you
look at the two biggest PC games recently you'll see nothing cutting
edge in their spec.

What's amazing is what Valve did with HL2 and the Source engine. Even my
laptop runs it smoothly.

That used to be the case Jordan, but not anymore. Blizzard has always went
for the specs that worked on all machines.

This is a brilliant statement against John. He is always bad mouthing
consoles in the PC groups. From now on I'm going to do the same thing. I'm
going to cross post all your anti-Sony threads in the Xbox groups to the
Playstation groups.
