I got my mage up to a 58 and now i want to get into a guild and
try some raiding. I'll install Ventrilo and use my crappy mic for now.
Question: What headset do some of you pro's use?

I bought me the Logitech USB 350 Headset about a year ago, sound
quality and voice quality are impeccable.

Default Headset Question

I use a Logitech USB (can't remember the model, sorry), though I've got
5 different sets "just in case" (the reality is that I kept buying
better ones looking for the best - I'll probably move up to a set of
Sennheiser USB ones soon).

The main thing though, is that ANY headset will usually work OK. A
desk mic will work OK if you wear headphones, but please don't use a
desk mic (or any mic) and listen over speakers. It creates a feedback
echo that will make people hate you before they mute you .

has anyone found a good bluetooth version of something like that? I use my
speakers and an external mic most of the time now, because vent sounds
crappy on my cellphone headset. *

Just make sure music and ambient sound is off. I've never had problems with
feedback using a mic on a stand and system speakers. However, I would
switch to headphones in a minute if I could find a decent bluetooth set -
all the ones I've tried are garbage. *

Logitech makes some good ones, also Plantronics. Many others
out there, but those are the only ones I've used and can vouch
for.
