I`ve always seen Newcastle as a big club (it is probably the biggest
supported club in England)??? Can someone PLEASE explain to me what is
going on?
I`ve been a liverpool supporter since I was five (and my 5`th birthday
was on december 26`th in 1975) but since I was 12-13 I`ve looked at
Newcastle as a very good club. Not that they`ve been in the top division
all the way, but it has looked as a good club. I was just wondering what
the board/owner have done wrong since they can`t make Newcastle a club
to compete against the usual "top four" teams?
I would love to see other teams "up there". I mean, I love liverpool,
but if the same teams keep winning over and over again football gets
boring....and I would hate to see football killing itself in the next 10
years by not doing something....
Anyway, I hope the newcastle board wake up before it`s too late. Even I
have a place in my heart for newcastle..

But it is boring when chelsea win it the way they are. In three years
uefa have said the new rule is coming, no matter what. The rule where
the clubs can`t spend more money than they make, so it really doesn`t
matter how much money Roman or any other rich owner has got, if they
club make 10 pounds, that`s what you can spend. Great. Smaller clubs
with a chance to win. I`ve always looked forward to the premiership
season, to get away from the somewhat amateur norwegian league. This
year I`ve kept following the norwegian league. I can`t name the top
three teams at the table this season. It has gotten so boring, cus you
know who`ll win in the end anyway. Money plays too big a role in
deciding the title, and that is something I don`t like. It\s much more
fun if Grimsby get promoted though.

I thought the ruling ony applied to wages? Surely a club would FIFA/UEFA to
court if told it couldn't spend all it's millions in the bank on new
players, if they wanted too.

Manchester, Real Madrid and AC Milan will love the rule that will eternize
(spl) their dominance
the big marketing teams will rule alone
no more Portsmouth to come...

that rule is to do with wages, and it is supposedly something like the
wage bill can be no more than 50% of the annual income. it won't make
any difference to how much cash the clubs already have in the bank,
nor the way they buy players with it, just the wages they can
subsequently offer them.
unless theyve changed it again, which is always possible with UEFA.

Ed chelsea bought there success, but bought it more than any other team. I
feel bored of chelsea winning already due to moanrinho's sheer arrogance
that he is the best in the world and that what he says goes. Rather than
this wage structure or spending as much as you earn why cant they just
implement rules like in german football where you have to include so many
home grown players and so many home grown players of a certain age and only
a certain amount of imports. Because in all honestly it is getting boring.
First it was manure now its chelsea and it'll be another team after them.

Aren't they bringing this in already in to the EPL?
Hence why players are now being bought whilst they're still in the
womb ;-)
