Another n00b question...
I'm getting the hang of the game now, but when I attempt to build Leonardo's
workshop, the building will begin, but then after awhile, I'll get a message
saying that since the city can no longer work on the workshop, do I want to
switch to building a Colloseum. What is happening that the city can't
continue construction of the workshop?
Thanks again, in advance!

Another civilization beat you to it. If you look closely, it should tell
you that another civ has finished building whatever. Since there can only
be one, after it is built, your city has to build something else.

Ah... Yeah, I've seen those messages. Didn't know there could only be one
though.

The "Wonders of the World" are all single items. They give some sort of
special ability to the civ that builds them, so there is only one each.

However, in Civ IV there are Minor Wonders which every civilization can
build.

There is a silver lining when this happens, though. You get money
from your canceled project.

No, that's a new idea. In my opinion, it is a good one. You generally don't
have to be so hystercially focused on the "Great Wonders".

If so, my Civ 3 disk must actually be a mislabeled Civ 4 disk. I don't
think so.

Civ3 has them and calls them 'Small Wonders'.
