Default What are ther best high level undead zones

Hello All,

My character's name is Edyil, and I am a Paladin (70) on Antonius
Bayle. I have been looking for a good, yet managable, high level undead
zone to solo in (you know for those extremely slow grouping days). I
have my vanquish undead AA's, and I can crit undead pretty well. I am
trying to amass as much information as I possibly can on these zones,
so I can later compile and re-post, perhaps as an FAQ.

I have done a search on the groups (high+level +undead+zones), while it
brigs results on the topic it does not really get specific enough as to
the best undead zones (the information is all over insofar as levels
and class information).

Currently I have heard of and played a few (in-game) such as, Veksar
(not bad AA's for a 70 PAL to solo in), the undead murkgliders in WOS,
I have also been to POH (Plane of Hate) which has some good mix of high
level undead and regular aggro. I have heard that Luclin has some good
areas as well, but I think these undead may be too low level to get any
real experience from (any confirmation on this would be great). The
Hole near paineel has some great undead foes as well, but the higher
level mobs are deep within the city, and sometimes it can get somewhat
tricky managing to get through the entire zone in a timely manner,
especially since a lot of those mobs seem to see through regular
invisibility (not sure about innate invisibility). The skellies on the
Maidens Eye are not bad to solo either. I welcome any and all
suggestions on this topic.

Thanks,

Edyil
L70 PAL, AB

Plane of Valor, right past the graveyard.

Arcstone, top of hill past spirit stags near zone in.

Stoneroot falls, in clusters on various islands and around the shore.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have been to Valor a few times, but only
to assist others as a tank and have never really tried soloing the
skellies there so I'll make sure to give that a try. I really had no
idea Arcstone had undeads, but then again I've only been in Arcstone a
few times as well. I've only been to SF once a while back (when I
couldn't realy hang in zone as well as I probably could now), maybe
it's time for a return visit.

Chardok B (The Halls of Betrayal) may be an option, but there are some
hurdles. You have to go through Chardok and you're probably KoS there, but
if you know where the Chardok B entrance is, you should have no problem
surviving the run.

Once in Chardok B, all of the entrance mobs are undead, but most are green
at 70 - there are also 6 wandering ghosts that are mostly light blue. Deep
inside the castle though, is a backyard cave area full of light blue static
undead. There are also 6 more wandering ghosts deep in that are all light
blue. To get there though, you have to fight through a lot of live sarnaks
and also worry about ghosts adding. Forgot about invising or ITUing
through, there are too many wanderers and see-through invis mobs. I two-box
there sometimes with a bazaar-equipped 70 pal/druid combo.

None of the mobs, live or undead, run at low health, so that's pally heaven
right there. Agro range is small so it's usually easy to get single pulls.
Pacify works most of the time near the entrance, not at all further in. The
mobs have very low hitpoints compared to other zones. I estimate 14-15k hp
on the toughest non-named. Max hits are also pretty weak, 250 max on the
toughest non-named, 370 on the names. None of the mobs cast spells (except
the boss, Korocust). None of the mobs enrage. Oh, there are also a few
single mob-spawning traps sprinkled throughout the zone - these aren't
usually a problem.

There are several named mobs throughout the zone that drop nice tribute
items - and a couple of the items still sell well in the bazaar. There's a
31% haste mask, a see invis earring, and +2 mana regen necklace. The named
mobs also drop level 60 spells that sell well, such as Divine Intervention.
Only the named mobs summon.
