What is the deal with the absurdly accurate shooting?
Are half the players cheating or is it just that the game design is bad?

Thats because some people have played the game for a lengthy amount of
time, honing their skills down to a T.
But of course, some people DO cheat

If you have played the game for some time, you will know when someone
is shooting you with absurdly accurate aim. I have passed on an
invitation to play with a fairly new clan because I believe one of the
members of the clan is not running an honest setup. If your internet
connection is not fast and stable, then you might think others are
cheating because your networking response is poor. Is your ping above
60? If so, your response to/from the server may be less than "great".
I played CS for a bit last night, and after killing one fella a couple
of times, he immediately began to whine about hacking (accusing me, of
course). This was only after 2 consecutive kills in rush maps.
Sometimes people don't realize there are good aimers in the game with
fast reflexes who have practiced quite a bit, and having a low ping to
the server gave me a small advantage, meaning I will probably win
those "around the corner head to head" meetings if I am accurate with
the first shot(s).

That is my dream. To be good enough to be accused of hacking.
To spot an expert non-hacking player, if you watch them, after a
while, they will do something unbelievably stupid and get themselves
killed, just like the rest of us.
